I'm Rhian, the owner and head designer for Winter and the Willows.

I've always been a day dreaming nature lover, my early years I spent running around the Welsh hills imagining I was in the secret garden, not much has changed really, apart from I now frolic around Greater Manchester /Cheshire instead.

 Drawn to wild, un tamed, tumbling florals that have movement and interest. I love to create pieces that are full of texture and floral abundance, specialising in modern, organic, boho styles.

Our flower studio is based in the North West of England, we cover all over the Uk and beyond. I work from a studio in my garden with the chickens and rabbits.... it's my own little floral paradise. 

 

One of the many highlights of my job is the endless connections I make with my couples. Wedding floristry isn't just take an order and deliver.... it's a process of getting to know each couple, understanding their day, the feel and creating something that is wholly them, to tell their story. It is alway's an honour.

Prior to Winter and the Willows I had a career as a successful commercial hair and make up artist working for the UK's top fashion retailers. Although I still love working in fashion it wasn't until I immersed myself fully into Floral design that I really felt I had found my art medium, the one that you think about before bed and the one that makes you hop right out of bed for. I have always lived by "Find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life." and I have been blessed by finding the two passions.
